Next-Generation Output, with Proven Architecture
The Momentum Power plant consists of a lattice of BWRs, turbine-generators, and supporting systems and proven marine grid-connections. Each SFBWR (seafloor boiling water reactor) module will produce 50-100MWe, and will be designed such that the installation can easily be scaled by adding additional modules, to create 200, 500, or even 3000MWe for a customer on shore or undersea.

Multiple independent layers of passive protection remove decay heat without power or operator action, even in a full station blackout. And the surrounding ocean itself acts as a virtually unlimited heat sink, always available regardless of weather, season, or fuel logistics.
Momentum's Seafloor Boiling Water Reactor is engineered to protect itself, with no operators on site, no external power, no active systems required.
Walkaway-Safe by Design: shuts down and cools itself using natural circulation alone. No pumps, generators, or on-site crew required.
Multiple Independent Safety Layers: passive cooling, low-pressure operation, sealed modular containment, and continuous remote monitoring all work together, even in a full blackout.
Distance & Zero Marine Impact: sited ~12 nautical miles offshore, beyond emergency planning zones. An MIT-led study projects minimal marine impact, even under worst-case scenarios.
