Vince Kindfuller advises Momentum Power on reactor systems development, drawing on his background in nuclear operations and naval propulsion engineering. He is a former active-duty U.S. Navy submarine officer with hands-on reactor plant operating experience from one of the most demanding environments in the world: U.S. Navy fast-attack submarines. He qualified as Engineering Officer of the Watch, responsible for the safe operation of the submarine's nuclear propulsion plant, and as Officer of the Deck, responsible for the safe navigation and tactical employment of the vessel at sea.
Aboard USS Boise (SSN 764), he led divisions responsible for the operation, maintenance, and testing of nuclear reactor instrumentation and control systems, as well as the submarine's navigation and communications systems. He subsequently served as Submarine Operations Officer for Destroyer Squadron 28, where he coordinated submarine and surface ship operations during the USS Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group's deployment to the European theater in support of U.S. and NATO operations. He also served as the Submarine Warfare Instructor at the University of Rochester's Naval ROTC unit, preparing future naval officers for nuclear power assignments.
Vince currently works as a Submarine Propulsion Specialist at Philadelphia Gear, where he supports the development and production of advanced naval propulsion equipment. He also continues to serve in the U.S. Navy Reserve supporting Submarine Group 8.
He holds two B.S. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology: one in Nuclear Science and Engineering and one in History.
